Description
We are looking for applicants, who are ambitious, passionate and motivated.

The HR Advisor will ensure that appropriate strategies are employed to enable such policies and procedures to be communicated and acted upon within the structure of the organisation.


The successful applicant must be able to:

  • Responsible for the provision of appropriate advice and guidance to managers and staff supported by Peninsula and ACAS, in dealing with all employment concerns and employee relations, including issues of conduct and capability, performance management, recruitment, training and development, remuneration, benefits, terms and conditions of employment. Assist with providing a needs-led service that focuses on outcomes.
  • Liaising with staff about problems at work and personal problems as applicable.
  • In line with ACAS guidelines, develop policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
  • In consultation with the directors of Vision Consortium Services advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits;
  • Using industry standards, undertaking salary reviews, often on an annual basis;
  • Supporting the Finance Manager to administer payroll and maintaining records relating to staff;
  • As a member of CIPD, Interpret and advise on employment legislation;
  • Advising on any and all disciplinary and grievance hearings within the company. To ensure that sufficiently trained personnel are present at such hearings to ensure they are effective.
  • Developing, with line managers, human resource (HR) planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements in terms of numbers and skill levels;
  • Ensuring that all new employees receive an induction programme upon commencement of employment. Ensure that risk assessments are carried out within area of responsibility and that employees are provided with Health and Safety training within their roles.
  • To participate and manage the recruitment, selection, interviewing of all new staff.
  • To promote, manage and enforce the culture and ethos of the business to the company.
  • Take strategic actions to address issues of any service needs, whatever the nature, which may directly or indirectly affect the organization.
  • Ensuring that all relevant documentation is completed and accurate.
  • Analysing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers. Providing support with the planning and delivering of training.
  • Undertaking training relevant to the role of Human Resource Advisor keeping with providing a professional service.
  • Ensuring that all relevant policies and procedures are accurate, ratified and disseminated.
  • Ensuring that the necessary personnel administration is carried out in an efficient manner and personnel records are accurately and confidentially stored.
  • Work closely with departments in an advisory role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with the development, implementation, review and evaluation of Vision Consortium Service's business plan.
  • For the above posts, induction, training supervision and the appropriate support will be provided._
