About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are working towards or have recently completed an undergraduate program in sport science or related discipline to join STATSports' Sport Science, Product & Research department as a Sport Science Product Tester.

The Sport Science Product Tester will conduct field testing across a range of software and hardware products to ensure the accuracy and overall quality of STATSports product.

Testers will be expected to carry out a range of sport-specific testing protocols on a range of hardware products, as well as engage in the user acceptance testing of an elite athlete monitoring software platform and compile comprehensive reports of their findings.

This role is a hybrid of conducting and participating in field-based sports testing in an outdoor environment and completing the analysis and reporting of testing results in an office setting using STATSports suite of software products.

What You'll Do:

Lead and carry out the testing of GPS devices using a battery of standardised, sportspecific field tests;
Produce comprehensive reports of standardised testing results and present findings to the Product, Sport Science & Research team.
Engage in the testing of STATSports software products as specified by the Product, Sport Science & Research team, documenting and presenting outcomes.
Participate in endtoend system testing in collaboration with local sports teams

About you
You'll need to have

A recent graduate or student working towards an undergraduate degree in Sport/Exercise Science, or a closely related discipline.
Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
Have experience of participating in/coaching of fieldbased sports (Soccer, GAA, Rugby etc.).
Ability to participate in fieldbased sport testing including some longdistance running, sprints, changes of direction etc.
Full UK/Irish Driving license and access to own car.

It'd be great if you have

Good understanding of athlete monitoring technologies and associated software platforms (training will be provided).
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerBI (training will be provided).
Experience collecting athlete data in a fieldbased or labbased setting.
Comfortable presenting data/findings to staff, coaches and/or athletes.
