    Principal Cloud Services Engineer at Oldham Council

    Contract: Permanent

    Salary: £52,555 – £55,678 per annum (SM3)

    Hours: 36.66 per week

    Based: Oldham Council

    Role Overview:

    As the Principal Cloud Services Engineer at Oldham Council, you will play a crucial role in managing and improving the server/hosting infrastructure, with a specific focus on Microsoft Azure. You will lead a team to develop innovative solutions, design and maintain cloud-based systems, and ensure best practices in incident management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a team of Cloud Services Engineers
    • Innovate and implement cutting-edge solutions
    • Manage complex infrastructure licence renewal budgets
    • Design and implement scalable cloud architectures
    • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents

    Key Requirements:

    To excel in this role, you should have:

    • Relevant certifications in cloud technologies
    • Minimum 7 years of cloud engineering experience
    • Proficiency in provisioning and troubleshooting cloud servers
