PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING DIGITAL OFFICER

GRADE - COSLA POLICY OFFICER

You will be accountable to:
PB Policy Manager - Digital Participation

Salary:
£38,751 - £42,000 SCP 37-40

Hours: 36 hours weekly. COSLA operates a flexitime system combined with working from home

Based:
COSLA, Verity House, 19 Haymarket Yards, Edinburgh, EH12 5BH although all employees are currently combining working from home and the office

The role will involve onboarding new users of CONSUL for COSLA's member authorities, helping with initial installation and supporting local staff in their system's resilience.

The post holder will also work with the SG Community Empowerment Unit in developing digital solutions.

This is a fixed-term role for six months. COSLA is pursuing further funding for the PB team. Secondments will be considered from Scottish local authorities.

As Technical Lead, you'll:

Ensure member councils' views are considered during the international development of CONSUL
Provide onboarding support and technical assistance to individual local authorities
Brief COSLA's Community Wellbeing Board and other partners on progress
Advise LA lead officers on digital engagement and community empowerment
Support the community of learning for digital inclusion and participation
Develop a bank of supportive materials for LAs
Maintain regular contact with local authority leads to help them meet their PB/PD ambitions.
