What does a Head of FP&A do at Collinson?


As our Head of FP&A, you will set the group's FP&A strategy and own the key forward looking financial activities within the group finance team.

This will include design and co-ordination of the group's strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting processes, delivery of accurate, timely and insightful variance analysis of the group's results, KPIs design and dashboard reporting along with financial support on strategic projects including supporting the group's long term financing planning.


You will be instrumental in putting together the global picture of the group's financial business model for the Board and implementing the latest FP&A best practice.

This will include data integration and visualisation, designing predictive modelling tools to maximise the group's forecasting accuracy and your team will be responsible for selecting, configuring and maintaining a modern financial planning system.

You will work closely with stakeholders across multiple global teams to understand the context behind the numbers and embed consistent and effective reporting and processes to help ensure all planning and forecasting deadlines are achieved and that the group's return on capital is optimised.

This will include leading the strategy support and investment processes, evaluating investment opportunities and risks and making recommendations to the TCG Board on its portfolio of investments and business partnering with the Co-CEOs and CFO on strategic projects.


Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading a team responsible for providing insightful analysis and reporting to enable strategic decision making across markets, categories, and channels.
  • Responsibility for the analysis of the financial performance across the group, liaising directly with global markets and wider Finance teams to provide insight to the Board.
  • Provide management to a team, building and managing high performance
  • Conduct complex research using primary data sources, selecting the most appropriate and sound information sources, identifying and accommodating any key themes and trends
  • Prepares and coordinates the completion of various standard and a hoc data and analytics reports.
  • Prepares and presents finding for global and executive board presentations including on financial investment strategy, portfolio management and supporting strategic projects including Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Contributes to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines and protocols to ensure the company complies with financial regulations and good practice

About you


This role will require expert communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and interpret financial information to provide insight, alongside being able to interact and engage confidently with very senior stakeholders across multiple functions and time-zones.

In addition, experience with interpreting and communicating data to senior stakeholders, highly commercial providing good performance reporting, with a passion for good data visualisation and presentations.

The individual will have an aptitude and appetite to develop systems and processes to drive efficiencies and insight to the business.


  • Experience of previous investment committee or portfolio management, strategic consultancy and/or Mergers and Acquisitions transactions would be desirable.
  • Proven experience in leading a team
  • High attention to detail, highly accurate, a selfstarter, flexible, comfortable with change, able to work to strict reporting deadlines
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly within Excel
  • Attention to detail, with an analytical mindset
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively
