    Description
    Wright Staff Recruitment are currently looking for 2x Class 1 drivers for our client in the Shrewsbury area.Start time is between , working 4 on 4 off 7 days a week.

    Responsibilities:
    • Deliver and collect pallets.
    • Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a truck or van, to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
    • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
    • Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secure and properly distributed in the vehicle
    • Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines
    • Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or concerns
    • Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle inspection reports
    • Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure

    Skills:
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (No more than 6 points)
    • Valid CPC and Digi card
    • Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience
    • Pump truck and tail lifts
    • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
    • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines
    • Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo safely
    • Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and coworker.
