As the Vicar you would have responsibility for providing spiritual leadership and direction.
The ideal candidate
You will:
lead and inspire others in a practical expression of the Gospel message, whilst modelling a balance of active and contemplative spirituality;
spearhead new initiatives and partnerships, whilst valuing and caring for the existing people and mission;
sensitively lead us and nurture the gifts of others;
respect our moderate Anglican theological and liturgical tradition and encourage those involved in its provision;
have strong administrative and organisational skills, whilst seeking to delegate to others as appropriate.
You'll be able to work and live in a beautiful area in the central north of the Isle of Wight with huge historic interest and wonderful places such as Osborne House on your doorstep.
The mainland is only a 10-minute hovercraft ride away from nearby Ryde and the ferry port is even closer with significant discounts on crossings alongside a Diocesan grantThe Diocese of Portsmouth is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community.
