Group Buyer

Worcester based with a balance of home and office working

£35,269 - £37,126 per year

35 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Group Buyer with a passion for delivering excellence to join our Procurement team, based in Worcester.

The Group Buyer will provide an effective solution-driven procurement service, utilising good practice techniques across the Development and Construction category, contract and supplier management and ensuring maximum value for money whilst managing risk.

The role of Group Buyer **will include:

Developing procurement strategy and interrogating market intelligence
Tendering and contracting the purchase of goods and services relating to the Development and Construction category, including contractors, services and materials.
Ensuring the provision of high quality and cost effective services are offered to meet customers needs
Liaising with stakeholders throughout the business

Skills and experiences:

Buyer with Public Procurement experience
Awareness of Development and Construction categories and a desire to broaden category knowledge
Excellent customer service, communication and analytical skills
Excellent research ability and market intelligence
Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
