About the role


As a Safeguarding advisor you will be working to support the delivery and roll out of Cadent's use of VCMA and social programmes strategy.

We want you to be "The Face" of Cadent at Customer and Stakeholder events, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be a part of a high performing, customer focused team and will manage your own impact on the wider Business goals.

You will be responsible for recording and generating management information and KPIs.

You will also work with community groups/charities and partners to help support customers that are living in vulnerable situations across our network by working together on innovative and wide reaching initiatives.


About You

  • Ordered and critical thinker with strong delivery mindset
  • Great communicator, influencer, and collaborator
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable sharing of best practice across all organisations.
  • Able to communicate to a range of people from senior managers to community centre staff across our networks
  • Knowledge of Cadent's Safeguarding Strategy and the wider industry approach.
  • Clear understanding of the needs of customers living in vulnerable situations.
  • Knowledge of Cadent and its' structure and how each process area is accountable for delivering 'Services for All'.
  • Working on own initiative and keeping peers, management, and partners in the loop.

Experience of:


  • Previous customer experience, able to provide a professional and supportive customer service
  • Performing in a busy and demanding office environment
  • Operating in a positive manner with other stakeholders
  • Working closely with Operations using a variety of techniques to communicate effectively
  • Operating in an IT environment using mobile technology.
  • Supporting customers and managing their expectations
  • Providing clear and concise data and KPIs to leadership team
  • Working in a high performing customer focussed delivery team
  • Supporting Community inititiatives and projects
  • Supporting customers living in fuel poverty

Knowledge:


  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality work in a timely manner.
  • Clear and confident communicator (verbal and written) with business acumen and ability to adapt communication style in given situations
  • Good IS capabilities (excel, power point & word, share point, web portals). Training can be provided.
