Nelson Permanent Placements Limited is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a
Mechanical Supervisor.

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring quality and safety of all production equipment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage a team of mechanical technicians, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Monitor work progress, assign tasks, and provide guidance to team members.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
Identify and resolve technical issues and troubleshoot equipment failures.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and ensure timely project completion.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and make recommendations for procurement.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among team members.
Prepare reports on project status, productivity, and any incidents or accidents.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or degrees are a plus.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or similar role in a related industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Proficient in using computer software and maintenance management systems.
Exceptional problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of relevant regulations.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Availability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed.

Salary:
£40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
