    Job summary

    We are seekingto recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking and caring individual to join ourcurrent team of Medical Imaging Care Assistants (MICAs) within the MedicalImaging Department.

    You will beinvolved in a range of duties assisting in all clinical areas including handson patient care, portering and clerical responsibilities.

    With effectivecommunication, interpersonal, decision making and prioritising skills, you willbe a sympathetic individual with a genuine desire to care for patients. Previousexperience working within a care environment would be beneficial.

    Imagingservices are provided 7 days per week so a flexible approach to shift patternsis essential to support our services during the week and through the weekends.

    Hours of workwill be within the departments core hours of 8am to 8pm (typical shifts are 8amto 6pm & 10am to 8pm). Weekends are included but there is no requirementfor night duties in this role.

    We also have a Clinical Diagnostic Centre in the Glassworks Barnsleytown centre, which will incorporate Outpatient Imaging Services such as CT,MRI, Plain Film X-ray and DEXA amongst other services. This is an excitingopportunity and staff will rotate between the main site and Clinical DiagnosticCentre.

    Main duties of the job

    As a MICA youwill assist in all clinical areas within the imaging department to help providea caring and compassionate experience for the patients.

    You willpossess a good sound knowledge of health and safety, confidentiality and riskawareness.

    It is essentialthat you have a good general level of education to GCSE standard and beprepared to undertake further appropriate training.
