Locum Education Lawyer – London – Competitive Hourly Salary (DOE) – Hybrid Working

Position: Education Lawyer

Organisation: London based Local Authority

Duration: 3 months ongoing contract

Working Pattern: Full time

Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working

Hourly Rate: Competitive Hourly Salary (DOE)

Venn Group's legal team are working with a reputable London based Local Authority to recruit a Locum Education Lawyer.

The ideal candidate for this role will be either an experienced Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has a proven track record of successfully handling a caseload of SEN appeals, providing general education advice and conducting judicial reviews. Having a strong working knowledge of key education legislation is required.

Duties shall include:

1- To hold a caseload of SEN appeals, provide general education legal advice and conduct judicial reviews

2- To ensure the timely delivery of effective legal services to the Council and its partners with maximum efficiency

3- Work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines

4- To provide support and guidance to junior staff in the team
