Our client, a prestigious wealth management company based in Somerset are seeking a
Finance Assistant to join their busy team in Wellington.

The role is a blend of traditional accounts and finance tasks such as dealing with invoices alongside matching income for clients on the system.

This role is part time, 25 to 30 hours per week with a choice of flexible working days:

  • 3 full days all office based
  • 4 full days with 1 day working from home
  • 5 short days with 1 day from home

Finance Assistant responsibilities include:


  • Recording cash receipts accurately onto the system
  • Responsible for ensuring full records are kept for all commissions statements
  • Closing of the month end accurately and on time
  • Code and process purchase invoices
  • Complete month end accounting tasks, journals, and reconciliations
  • Provide support to other members of the finance team as and when required

Finance Assistant skills and qualifications include:

  • Previous experience of SAGE 50 accounting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Deliver effective and positive communication
  • Demonstrate competent use of IT
  • Calm and considered outlook in approach to problem solving
