The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the commercial team in pulling together tender response opportunities that fall within the warehouse and transport division.

Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders will be key in ensuringthe end-to-end process runs seamlessly.

From capturing and summarizing the customer's initial requirements, through to building detailed operational labour and pricing models, this role will touch on all aspects of building competitive yet commercially viablesolutions.


Understanding the importance of balancing fast-paced KPI driven operations with accurate and competitive pricing will be a key contributing aspect of this role.

Managing expectations and keeping departments aligned and well informed will consequently resultin opportunities being responded to promptly and accurately.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Complete written tender documents in line with both internal and external customer deadlines.
  • To assist with building data models and pricing analysis tools.
  • Drafting of operational solution in support of RFP (request for pricing) quotes.
  • To update and maintain client/prospect records held on Uniserve CRM systems for all active, won, and lost opportunities.
  • Assist with completion of RFQ/Tender opportunity summaries and to grade via the tier system for circulation to help the business in making informed decisions on potential opportunities.
  • To assist with compiling and updating the weekly opportunity log & pipeline for circulation to the Warehouse and Commercial Team.
  • To prepare and present presentation material for both internal and external use e.g., client presentations or commercial business unit material.
  • Complete necessary training to develop skill sets and obtain a deeper level of knowledge regarding Uniserve Group's unique selling points.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain effective relationships, with both the internal business units and key overseas partners.
  • Assisting with the completion of any other activities as reasonably requested by the Management Team.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise:


  • Experience of tender proposals and responses.
  • Familiar with Tender pricing, modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills.
  • Confident in client facing situations.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder Management.
  • Experience of warehousing, transport and logistics.
  • High level of communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Comfortable in liaising with site and finance managers.
  • Demonstrates resilience and proactively overcomes obstacles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Good understanding of balancing commercial and operational opportunities.
