Based at Bournemouth Airport - 40 Hours per week

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Business Administrator to join our team at Bournemouth.

As a key player in our aviation maintenance and repair company, you will contribute to the smooth functioning of our operations by overseeing front-of-house activities and managing essential administrative tasks.

Signature TECHNIC_Air_, is a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul specializing in small to mid-size, turbine-powered business aircraft, with locations throughout the United States and Europe.

As a division of Signature Aviation, Signature TECHNIC_Air _EMEA operates a full service, CAA & EASA certified Part 145 Repair Station at Bournemouth airport, in conjunction with strategically positioned mobile service units based at Farnborough and Luton airports that serve a wide range of capabilities, across the UK and Europe.


Role Summary


The Business Administrator reports to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for overseeing front-of-house activities alongside the day-to-day administration needs of the business and its systems.

Co-ordinating suppliers, and vendors to ensure we are getting the appropriate level of service, identifying areas for cost saving opportunities.

Additionally, ensuring we remain compliant with all relevant airside authorisations such as passes, and vehicle permits.


The core of your new role

  • Oversee frontofhouse activities, including visitor management and upkeep of the customer lounge.
  • Handle ID Passes and security access at required airports.
  • Manage airside vehicle permits at required airports.
  • Coordinate with thirdparty service providers, renew contracts, negotiate vendor contracts, and create purchase orders.
  • Organize building and equipment services, in coordination with the Health, Safety, and Environmental coordinator.
  • Process holiday and sickness requests, maintain accurate records, and inform employees about balances.
  • Assist HR with labour analysis reports, overtime, and holiday premium processing.
  • Set up new starters on company platforms and assist with induction plans.
  • Manage training logistics, including pretraining commitments and certificates.
  • Organize travel arrangements and manage inventory and purchasing of supplies.
  • Maintain admin for the company's fleet of vans and airside vehicles.
  • Handle modules within our Safety System such as documents, workflows, meetings, and training administration.
  • Collaborate on HRrelated administration and coordination tasks as required.
  • Ensure accurate data input for employee timesheets.
  • Maintain subscriptions on company manual subscriptions.

About you:


  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within an engineering background.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Proactive in introducing new initiatives for improved performance.
  • Strong negotiation skills for vendor/supplier contract management.
  • Effective problemsolving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining relationships.
  • Discreet and capable of handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and delegation skills.
  • Positive 'cando' attitude.
  • Adaptable and open to change.
