The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join an established luxury home cleaner's manufacturer as a Production Manager, having the autonomy to implement new processes and see real improvement.
We are looking for a driven individual who can hit the ground running and strive to make a difference to support the growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Production Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the manufacturing operations for all lines in the factory, balancing a manufacturing process involving multiple components and SKUs
- Ensure machines are run to optimise performance (machinery including filler, sealer, labeller, screen print)
- Manage machinery troubleshooting, basic maintenance and servicing schedules
- Maintain exceptional quality standards in line with the brand positioning.
- A keen focus on 5S or other lean production techniques
- Utilise ERP system functionality to maximise department performance
- Work with Planning manager to ensure efficient scheduling, working with Sales to ensure all deadlines are met and orders are sent on time.
- Manage the production team's development and training, including performance management and disciplinary procedures, foster a cando attitude amongst production staff
- Drive, monitor, evaluate and report on departmental performance.
- Ensure that quality standards are met & maintained so that the factory is compliant to BRC, working alongside the Technical Manager where necessary
- Responsibility for H&S procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment
The Person
The key skills and qualities for the Production Manager role are:
- HNC, HND or degree in a related discipline
- An understanding of and proven achievements in the implementation and maintenance of lean methodologies
- Proven experience of production management and leading a team with positive working culture
- IOSH Managing Safely Certified is required & NEBOSH qualified is preferred
- Handson experience of relevant manufacturing processes
- Forklift Truck licence.
- Living within a commutable distance of Bolton
- Flexibility with working out of hours as required
