Provide finance administration support and financial administration of projects to Programs Director and Program Managers. This is a great position for someone who degree qualified and is looking to kick start their finance career.

Main Activities:

  • Support the Program Managers and the Program Director in the financial administration of projects
  • Approve Purchase Requests and ensure the robustness of the Purchase Requests in line with project controlling rules.
  • Generate and maintain up to date project accounts to provide an accurate cash flow for Program Managers and project controller
  • Release the notification of invoices to the customer orders in agreement with the program manager & record the actual payment dates in the project accounts
  • Generate weekly reports for 'receipts' & actual payment dates from suppliers and bookin services and goods under the direction of Program Managers
  • Record the initial budget and update specific investments, scope changes with actual values & payment dates from the orders in the project accounts
  • Collect the goods receipts and release the invoice notifications to the Finance department
  • Ensure the recovery of payments from the customer in conjunction with the Sales department
  • Raise alerts for missing payments from customers to the project controlling and Program Managers
  • Ensure with the Business Unit assistants and Program Managers the organisation of the milestone agenda
  • Prepare the Program Review
  • Consolidate a monthly report with Business Unit KPIs for the Program and Sales director and Business Unit management team
  • Consolidate a yearly report with Business Unit KPIs
  • Support the Project Management Office Coach into coordinating and performing project assessment of operational compliance to identify best practices and knowledge improvement directions
  • Support the Project Management Office Coach into training Business Unit development teams to project process
  • Ensure with Business Unit management the identification of population to be trained and ensure training is delivered in an adequate time against business requirements
  • Manage and maintain the Project Management training / skills plan for the Program population of Business Unit.
  • Support the Project Management Office Coach into deploying and maintain the Program Management system across the Business Unit
  • Support the Project Management Office Coach into supporting the Project, Programs and Engineering Centre teams during Internal and External IATF audits
Competencies
Finance Degree or equivalent qualification
Financial or Accounting qualification desirable but not essential
Excel proficient
Experience of SAP desirable
Confident communicator both verbal and written
Career minded -good position for future progression
Project experience desirable but not essential
