I'm currently partnered with a luxury fashion brand based in Central London who are looking for a Merchandising Manager. This role will be based at their offices for five days per week.The brand are going through sustained growth and are now looking to expand their team. The role will be an initial 6 month contract with the potential to be made permanent.
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Directive, Production & Design team to set and deliver the strategy which will deliver the most relevant product range Customers both DTC and Wholesale at the right time
- Instigate and deliver the Reporting of both category and product performance to the wider business and senior management on a regular basis including Seasonal Lessons Learnt
- Effectively drive optimum departmental stock & sales position using the WSSI and Flow Lines, reacting to any trends in performance, taking action as appropriate
- Collaboratively deliver robust Business Plans to be utilised by both Design & Manufacturing Teams
- Ensure all Sales Orders are generated and produced accurately and on time
- Identify new opportunities to grow sales and profitability through range, distribution, pricing revision
- Review and implement Markdown / Promotional activity to reduce terminal stock and increase full price sell through
- Monitor competitor and market trends and make recommendations to improve business proposition
- Champion and support the implementation of any System upgrades or changes
- Manage the performance of reportees; setting objectives, giving regular feedback, provide training and development to keep the team motivated
- Proactively support and deputise for Line Manager
- Previous Merchandising experience, working within Retail ideally within Clothing / Footwear
- Organised and structured in approach with the ability to deliver business goals and strategies
- Process driven with a strong understanding of analysing large amounts of data, WSSI mgmt. and OTB
- Commercially aware and proactive when making departmental trading decisions
- High level of professional integrity and responsibility
- Advanced Excel user
- High level of accuracy and an eye for detail
- Ability to problemsolve
- Strong communication, motivation, and management skills to all levels of the business both internally and externally
