The primary role of the Trainee QC Inspector is to ensure that the approved operating procedures of Worley Field Services are fully implemented by fabrication managers, supervisors and workforce at our workshop facilities and on client sites where WFS are active.

With support from the QC Team, the Trainee QC Inspector will be required to offer front line surveillance inspections on welding activities and general fabrication.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing spot audit inspection of products during manufacture
  • Visuals of welding activities and reporting to QC Inspectors / Senior QC Inspector.
  • Attending specific inspections as marked in Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Selection and identification of welds required to be examined and liaising with subcontractor to ensure requested NDT is performed.
  • Carrying out specific coating inspections as annotated in relevant inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Ensuring inspection and test plans are complied with and liaising with client representatives to ensure attendance at nominated intervention points.
  • Generation and review of all manufacturing inspection and test records and compilation of associated Manufacturing Record Books (MRB)
  • Review of all inspection and test reports provided by third parties within the knowledge of the individual
  • Raising quality observation reports and perform corrective actions if required.
Any other tasks deemed appropriate by the business and within competence skills of the individual.
