Description
We need a skilled and experienced Bricklayer/Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join our team and provide high-quality building services in Harlow. Responsibilities include bricklaying work, implementing IS/IT, maintaining effective relationships, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards.

Requirements include a recognised trade apprenticeship, training programme or trade experience, ability to work at height, use of PDA/mobile apps, and a full valid UK driving license.

  • Carry out bricklaying work/duties in a variety of locations throughout Harlow.
  • To provide high quality, cost effective building services to the business and its' customers.

Duties

Key Performance Area 1:
Quality/Delivery


  • Undertake bricklaying work on all HTS Group properties/projects.
  • Undertake bricklaying work according to specification and to recognised standards and good practice.
  • Undertake bricklaying and drain work to any HTS Group properties including:
  • DPC to areas required
  • Rebuild
  • Boundary Walls
  • Flagstones/block paving
  • Concreting paths and ramps
  • Laying drains and inspecting chambers
  • Floor tiling/screeching excavation
  • Pointing/grinding out renew clothes post
  • Conduct work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Code of Practice, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards for such work.
  • Assist in the implementation of information systems and information technology (IS/IT) within your own area of work.
  • Ensure good levels of productivity and work within the required timescales/categories.
  • Liaise with relevant employees as necessary in order to complete specified works.

  • Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues/clients/customers and work as part of team.
  • Deal courteously and efficiently with the general public to meet the needs of the Service user.
  • Understand and be committed to customer care.

Health & Safety


  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Cooperate with health surveillance programmes.

CSR


  • Contribute to the improvement of the environment.

Other Responsibilities

  • All duties and responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with agreed HTS Group Policy and Procedures having regard to HTS Group policy commitments to efficient service provision, promotion of Equal Opportunities and diversity, a Health & Safety culture, a customer focused approach and good employee relations.

  • Bricklayers may have to work at height, off ladders, platforms or scaffolding. Protective clothing and headgear is normally required. Majority of works are carried outside.

Person Specification

Qualifications, knowledge and technical ability
A recognised trade apprenticeship, training programme or trade experience

Any other trade related experience or skills

Ability to carry out duties at height

Able to use PDA/mobile apps to message, store and record job details and communications

Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety


Communication
Ability to communicate concisely with all team members


Working with others
Able to work in a team i.e. with other tradesperson, apprentices, management or clients

Ability to work in a well-organised and accurate way


General
Be physically fit

Full valid UK driving

£32,840.99 per year
