Job Title:
Supported Self-Help Practitioner (x 2 roles)


Hours:21 hours per week (part-time)


Starting salary:
£25,767 (pro-rata)


Contract:
Fixed-term until 1 September 2025, with the potential for extension dependent on funding


Location:
Office Base is Chorley. Delivery of sessions will be from home. Travel to office and venues around Lancashire for meetings, occasional national travel for network meetings

We're looking for two bold and caring professionals to join us. If you have a level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care and experience of providing one to one support, this could be the job for you


Supported Self-Help is an early intervention service aimed at supporting adults with low to moderate mental health needs funded by national Mind.

National Mind has decided to invest funding to scale the offer across the Mind Network in England to support the growing need for mental health services.

Lancashire Mind was successful in securing money to fund two part-time Supported Self-Help practitioners.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the rollout of a national programme and ensure people have access to a high-quality mental health service.


You will provide support to adults who are experiencing early signs of poor mental health such as low mood, anxiety, low self-esteem.

Support will take place primarily over the phone or online.


To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be warm and engaging with the ability to put service users at ease when communicating online.

You will be calm, focussed and resilient.


Lancashire Mind has a dedicated workplace wellbeing programme to ensure staff are supported with their own wellbeing which includes an Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing activities throughout the year.
