Job description

The opportunity to work in a high-profile Royal Borough, this strategic leadership role is at the very heart of delivering for our communities.

At the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM) we never underestimate the importance of having a safe place to call home.

We have made huge progress in all areas of our housing service but there is much still to be done as we rise to the challenges of affordability, increasing the supply of rented property, reducing homelessness and rough sleeping through early intervention options and ensuring quality temporary accommodation where necessary whilst making sure we have suitable supported and sheltered property options alongside implementing changes required in a new allocation policy.

Situated within the Place Directorate and a member of the Council's Corporate Leadership Team, you will also be responsible for our Environmental Health and Trading Standards Services.

These are vital to the smooth running of our local businesses and ensuring RBWM is a quality place to live and that we keep our residents and visitors safe.

We are looking for an inspirational leader with a strong collaborative approach across these multi-disciplinary services working with colleagues and partners to achieve shared outcomes.

The ability to empower teams and develop long lasting relationships with partners is critical.

Strategic thinking will be very important to success coupled with high levels of financial awareness to ensure we maximise our resources for the benefit of residents and support economic growth for all.

If you want to make a real difference where every day counts, then this is the role for you.

Interview's will take place on week commencing 3rd & 10th July.
