Global business is looking for an Indirect Tax Manager on a 12 month salaried / fixed term contract. Can be fully remote or hybrid if local to the area.

The focus of the role will be Indirect Tax and they have three VAT registrations.

It will be 80% advisory and 20% compliance oriented with engagement across the supply chain to include customers and suppliers, in addition to business stakeholders.

Strong technical capability, and an ability to translate this into specific customer andsupplier scenarios is a priority.

Responsibilities include:

Becoming the principal point of contact for HMRC, and Regional and Global internal tax teams, involving the ongoing development and oversight of all aspects of Indirect Tax affairs.
Proactively identifying any indirect tax risk areas and liaising with external advisers, and the tax authorities to address and resolve any issues. Queries may relate to topics such as Brexit, Reverse Charge Tax, Imports / exports compliance.
Reviewing the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and supporting any VAT audits
Preparation of the Corporation Tax calculations to support the monthly Management Accounts
Submissions ahead of deadlines and to the satisfaction of the Global tax teams and the CFE (Chief Financial Executive) in their duty and obligations under the SAO (Senior Accounting Officer) legislation.

About You:

Experience required:

Relevant Indirect tax experience; particularly with reference to import / export and having work in an advisory capacity.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
Experience of navigating a number of Enterprise systems to extract core data

- 'Big 4' background an advantage but not compulsory

The employer is hoping to have someone in post for Feb / March, but may be able to flex this sooner / later for the right person.
