Key Responsibilities:


  • Drive the development and maintenance of ORM Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies and an ORM QA Operating Model, in accordance with Citi and industry best practices and standards.
  • Lead / own specific components of the ORM QA operating model and develop procedures, methodologies and execution strategies for each.
  • Coordinate or lead execution of assigned ORM QA activities where chosen to be centralized or hybrid in the ORM adherence & QA operating model.
  • Coordinate and partner with coverage teams to monitor the execution of ORM QA activities where executed by business, regional or risk category coverage teams.
  • Deliver analysis and insights into the observations and conclusions from ORM QA activities, driving remediation of identified exposures and assessment of what they mean for Citi's operational risk profile overall.
  • Independently asses risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
  • Attend 1LoD and 2LoD Risk Committees and forums to communicate outcomes and insights from QA. Appropriately frame and assess risk exposures when decisions are made.
  • Exports best practices and common risk, controls and corrective actions through Framework Papers.
  • Working with ORM policy and/or program owners, aid in the development of execution quality benchmarks, test scripts and monitoring approaches that will be used to assess the quality of execution of specific components in the ORM QA Operating Model / ORMFramework.

Qualifications:


  • Significant experience in Operational Risk is a must. Other risk and control disciplines would be a plus credit, and market.
  • Experience in build, implementation and/or execution of Quality Assurance, 2LoD Reviews or Internal Audit would be desirable.
  • Expertise in one or more specific operational risk subcategories.
  • Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level both verbal & written
