Through the Curriculum, we aim to create opportunities which will stimulate enquiring minds and provide a well-balanced education which will ultimately provide caring and responsible members of our society.
Our school is surrounded by beautiful countryside, a playground with an excellent variety of play equipment and an all-weather sports court, which enhances our outdoor learning as well as providing areas to allow our pupils to keep fit, healthy and to have fun.
Vision - Every Pupil Matters, Every Step Counts
Values - Respected, Included, Achieving
Aims - All staff and pupils are respected
All pupils are made to feel included
All achievements are recognised and celebrated.
These values and aims will be central to our activities and discussions around the school and will be promoted so that the children and staff know them well and strive to meet that vision and those values and aims in the day to day running of the school.
The original school building, dating back to Victorian times, has the P4/5 and P6/7 classes, the dining room, the School Library and Learning Resource room and office accommodation.
Kirkmichael Primary School has a large catchment area and serves the communities of Kirkmichael, Glenshee, Bridge of Cally, Blacklunans and Straloch.
