    About the Role

    NPL, the UK's National Metrology Institute, is looking for a seasoned Senior Scientist to join their Ultrasound and Underwater Acoustics Group in Teddington. The ideal candidate will be part of NPL's cutting-edge research, contributing to various projects with the opportunity to impact high-quality science. This role involves:

    • Leading innovative research with potential commercial applications
    • Enhancing acoustic modeling techniques in NPL's specialized facilities
    • Improving data analysis methods for ocean acoustic measurements
    • Collaborating on research projects nationally and internationally
    • Leading technical aspects of NPL projects and mentoring junior staff
    • Contributing to scientific publications and representing the UK in technical committees
    • Promoting NPL's work and supporting growth strategy
    • Fostering inclusive partnerships and presenting research at conferences

    About You

    • Degree in Physics, Acoustics, or related field
