We are looking for full-time permanent Machinists to join our team and help us deliver the high standards of ship maintenance and repair we pride ourselves on.

As a Machinist with us, you'll use a range of machining tools to accurately manufacture ship components and parts.


Previous experience as a Machinist or in a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment would be great, we are also keen to hear from people who are eager to learn and be trained to our standards of work.


Who we are:


A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair facilities in the UK, we provide a complete range of marine repair services tanks to our on-site engineering, electrical, paint and fabrication workshops.


What you will do:


  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and vertical and horizontal boring machines to manufacture ship components and parts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Machine parts to precise tolerances and specifications using appropriate tools, techniques and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

What we are looking for:


  • You'll have experience as a Machinist or in a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment or will be eager to learn and be trained to our standards of work.
  • You'll be able to interpret and understand technical drawings.
  • You'll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.
  • You'll be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in your work, we all work safe and go home safe.
  • You'll have excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects that we deliver.
