Temporary Executive Assistant I Approx. 6 month assignment to 31 March 2024 I £12.69 per hour (Scale F) | 18.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) I Hybrid/County Hall based


We have a part time opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our newly formed Executive Support service who providing PA / administrative support at Director and Senior Leadership level across the Council.

This role is to support the Operations Director within the Adults Community Services teams.

Duties of the roles will include:

  • Diary and meeting management
  • Administrative support for meetings, minuting and venue planning arrangements
  • Coordinating of correspondence, draft letter and complaint responses
  • Research, information gathering & data analysis.
This is a busy position where accuracy, discretion and confidentiality must always be observed.

The post/s support our integrated services and involves working closely with both Norfolk County Council and Norfolk Community Health and Care colleagues.


You will be a point of contact for both internal and external customers at all levels so excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a confident telephone manner are important for this role to ensure we deliver and maintain our high standards of customer care.

You will be forward thinking with a flexible approach to work, proactive with an ability to forward plan.

You will part of a team who support Community Services across Norfolk, be a good team player and feel comfortable to work on your own.

You will be able to demonstrate strong IT skills. Knowledge of Adult Social Care would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given.


Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good level of relevant office experience and the use of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, MS Teams, SharePoint) combined with the ability to prioritise work when under pressure to meet deadlines.
