Product Lead - About the role:

You will be responsible for the implementation of a new product development process and for driving product innovation so that the Company can launch new products to meet clients' expectations; keep us up to date with market trends and drive PRMF to be ahead of the pack.


Responsibilities:


Stage One - Implementation of a robust NPD process across the business:

  • To lead a cross functional team within the business to manage the New Product Development process.
  • To analyse current systems to ensure that they are fit for purpose to support NPD.
  • To influence peers to ensure buy in across the business for NPI & OPO.
  • To create a project plan and identify key target dates.
  • To manage the showroom completion and develop an R&D area.

Stage Two - Drive product innovation:

  • To drive product innovation across the business once the NPD process has been implemented.
  • To analyse market trends and research competitors' products whilst having a commercial understanding of what the business requires.
  • To make informed commercial decisions with commitment and agreement from across the business, to decide if product should be MIH (made in house) or BI (bought in).
  • To manage annual product launches and OPO completions
  • To manage SKU proliferations against the businesses requirements and to oversee internal product life cycles to ensure forward planning is achieved.
  • To manage the showroom and R&D areas to ensure they are kept up to date and are reflective of industry trends.

Skills Required Essential:

Demonstrable influencing skills to drive internal teams. Able to work with managers and stakeholders at all levels including the Executive Team. Programme/project management skills to enable the control of several competing workstreams. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Good presentation skills. Demonstrable ability to plan/schedule/program complex projects. Methodical and organised. Ability to work with Design, Procurement & Operations in a co-ordination function. Demonstrable experience of manging procurement within a cost-plan (value engineering). Good research & investigative skills (Obtaining quotes for supplies and services). Excellent attention to detail. Intermediate MS Office skills. Self-sufficient. Passion for kitchens.


Desirable:

KBB experience. Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings. Previous project management experience within a design/construction within residential sector.
