6 months contract
Home based but travel to London & Cheltenham when required

An exciting opportunity to join our team in a growing ICT Services company with a global portfolio, as a Senior Project Manager.
Role Purpose:
Responsibilities/Accountability:
- manage projects throughout the entire project lifecycle using the Project Management Framework which is based on best practice methodologies and techniques
- lead and manage a geographically dispersed, multicultural project team
- have responsibility for delivering projects to agreed quality, delivery and financial criteria as agreed with key internal and external stakeholders
- work with pre-sales teams and technical consultants to build project proposals, associated resource plans and budgets, and support the sales process including client presentations
- build and develop relationships within client organisations to justify project proposals and ensure the successful delivery of projects on approval by the client
- provide a point of escalation for project related issues (either internally from within the project or externally from the customer)
- manage suppliers and third parties as required during the project lifecycle
- identify and manage risks to project delivery in a formal manner, ensuring that they are well communicated to all stakeholders
- proactively identify opportunities to improve project performance and the customer experience, and promote to the broader team
- support the ongoing development of project team members through coaching and mentoring, and feedback to management
- provide accurate and timely management information, reporting and forecasting to Management
Business Area / Technical Experience (Desirable):
- Microsoft technology stack including end user computing and server infrastructure
- security solutions and GDPR (or above) compliance
Qualification/Certification requirements:
- degree qualified (or equivalent) or 10 years relevant experience in IT Project Management
- PRINCE2 Practitioner Certified or equivalent (PMP)
- ITIL v3 Foundation or above
Personal Qualities:
- able to communicate project concepts and issues to client organisations
- excellent stakeholder management skills
- able to produce detailed plans for implementation.
- clear and concise communicator, ensuring no ambiguity around the execution of tasks.
- excellent oral and written communication skills.
- ability to recognise. mitigate and escalate potential risks.
- persuasive, and able to influence and convince others of the way forward
- good attention to detail, especially in the production of plans, reports, and forecasts to ensure they are always accurate and relevant.
- good negotiation skills, able to achieve balanced outcomes
- a natural, charismatic leader of people able to drive the team to achieve the common goal
- able to manage and resolve conflict
- structured in their approach, well organised, with excellent time management skills
