Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating under a high degree of regulatory scrutiny from regulators and exchanges in the wholesale traded markets in areas such as REMIT, EMIR, MAR, MiFID II and exchange/trading venue rules
  • The role will have significant interaction with the firm's trading and origination business as well as the firm's support and control functions
  • Identify and follow up on instances of poor market conduct, including potential instances of market abuse, to ensure compliance with regulatory, exchange and internal policy requirements
  • Maintenance of appropriate records and documentation including the creating of file notes
  • Support the development, testing, calibration and implementation of surveillance systems and processes that operationalise compliance with internal or external regulatory and exchange compliance requirements
  • Identify issues or improvements for resolution with internal teams and/or 3rd party vendors
  • Supporting the preparation of management reporting
  • Support Requests for Information (RFI) and investigations where required
  • Delivering training where required

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in trade surveillance and monitoring
  • Experienced user of office, monitoring and surveillance technology and ability to analyse data using a variety of tools
  • Show evidence of clear analytical thinking and be capable of carrying out detailed analysis of trading data and communications
  • Get to the heart of complex operational problems and issues
  • Quickly learn new technologies
