Due to accelerated growth over the past 12 months, this company are now looking for an experienced CAD Technician to join their team.

You will be reporting to the design manager, predominantly office based at their manufacturing facility based in North Yorkshire& fully supported by the wider sales, technical and project functions across the group.

They are a specialist interior integrations company, focused on exciting projects such as cinemas and entertainment spaces, in both residential and commercial settings.

Engaged in multiple high-profile UK and overseas projects at any one time, they are focused on providing innovative solutions and exceptional service for their clients

They sit within a small group of companies providing technical, commercial and manufacturing solutions across a full spectrum of projects.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Producing high quality 3D models, drawings, and project content utilising parametric modelling software such as Autodesk Revit, BIM360 or ArchiCAD to present and represent the range of interior structural solutions, from acoustic panels for cinemas, custommedia walls, modular rooms, structural staging and much more
  • Liaising with our sales, technical, design and manufacturing teams to ensure timely, accurate coordination of the design process for delivery of projects
  • Extraction of data from 3D models for preparation of BoM/Schedules
  • Maintaining project files and data to the highest standard of clarity and accuracy
  • Monitoring project compliance against client schedules of work and project BIM execution plan
  • Work within the common data environment and comply with the company, client and project specific BIM standards
  • Ensure all models are federated, validated and undertake clash detection
  • Assisting with development of CAD libraries / Revit families and content management
Experienced within an architectural, construction or interiors fit-out sector

  • Be highly proficient in the use of a Parametric modelling software such as Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD, BIM 360 with demonstrable experience
  • Experience producing design packages through to construction detailing and production information
  • Experience working directly with workshop teams
  • Knowledge of manufacturing in construction industry would be highly beneficial
  • Selfmotivated with good time management, excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently and manage own workload
  • Ability to prioritise projects and tasks based on upcoming deadlines and team capacity
  • Adaptable to change, and flexible to the requirements of a small but growth focused business
  • Portfolio essential
