We are looking for a warehouse and dispatch all-rounder to work withing our warehouse and packing departments. This is initially a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.


Warehouse involves working as part of a team in managing our inventory in a professional experienced manner, providing our internal customers with a world class service, and becoming the go to person for a specific product group.


In dispatch you will take responsibility for packing and dispatch of TH products ensuring high accuracy whilst ensuring high quality packing.

Splitting the week between warehouse and Dispatch, the role will entail communications at all levels both internally and externally.


Key Responsibilities

Operational

  • Warehouse duties as required ensuring high accuracy and a timely service as required
  • Pack TH instruments to defined standards and support improvements to eliminate damage in transit
  • Identify areas of improvement and suggest and implement improvements

Operational Excellence
To drive continuous improvement activities within the Departments. Develop a culture of continuous improvements - "do it once do it right".

  • Continually develop processes to drive overall performance
  • Implement robust continuous improvement ideas initiative
  • Work with all departments to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Implement and support 6S programmes

Quality
Improve quality in all areas of departments through driving a quality culture

  • Ensure reports are raised for all department issues via reporting system, pushing for root cause solutions

Team development

  • Become a key team member driving the culture to set the standard of operational excellence and capability within the business

Requirements for Consideration

Required Essential Skills:


  • Experience in a warehouse or despatch environment
  • Ability to lead a team and work effectively within a team in a fastpaced changing environment.
  • Experience of leading small group activities to drive improvement ideas
  • Experience of developing (multiskills)
  • Strong IT and Excel skills
  • Good knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as 6S, Kanban and Kaizen
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety and environmental practices
  • Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap, and rework
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communicator, written and oral.

Desirable Skills:


  • Leadership Qualification's
  • Band Saw and Chop Saw Experience
  • Cranes and Lifts Certificates
  • Forklift experience
