Business Manager
6 months (Rolling contract)
London - Ideally twice per week in office
Our client has been serving the households, businesses and communities of Britain for over 250 years.

They offer a comprehensive range of financial products and services - including current accounts, savings, mortgages, loans and credit cards.

Working within the Markets Platform Business Management team, this role will be embedded in one of the labs and will provide support for all operations activities but with a specific strength in finances.

The role focuses on core PMO skills, with the flexibilityto pick up ad hoc requirements as they arise.

Key functions will be:

Business Management: Project support to delivery teams covering items such cost management (forecasting, monthend, purchase orders etc) and developing our working practices and principles for operational excellence
Project Governance: Support the project teams by owning and updating regular sponsor packs, tracking actions and updates, keeping on top of governance milestones (eg RAID and project plans) and ensuring that all project documentation is up to date and consistent
People & Capability: Resource management including tracking joiners, leavers and future demand, ensuring compliance activities are completed in a timely fashion and keeping all people data up to date

What we need from you

Strong finances background with demonstrable skills.
Strong curiosity to get to the root cause of a situational issue and support innovative thinking and the operational solution to resolve
Ability to communicate openly by questioning and capturing context to understand clearly what is needed
Relationship building skills to form strong working relationships across our teams
Balance assertiveness with cooperation to enable truly collaborative working partnerships and achieve shared outcomes
Get results, supporting the team to analyse data and deliver desired outcomes
