Strategic Category Manager| Hybrid | Barnsley | £40,000-£48,000 per annum | Permanent
Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a public sector organisation, to recruit a Strategic Category Manager.
This organisation operates a hybrid working policy, requiring in office presence twice per week in the Barnsley based office.
Role:
- Act as the expert for the procurement of the nominated categories in line with Council's Contract Procedure Rules
- To lead on high value risk and complex procurements
- Lead and develop the delivery of procurement category strategies and programmes of work, undertaking data analysis
- Maintain effective working relationships with service areas and provide guidance to senior managers
- Actively involved within contract management
Individual:
- Great communication skills, track record of efficient stakeholder management
- Extensive experience navigating public sector frameworks, compiling contracts, running procurement processes
- Computer literate
- Needs to have achieved a minimium of a Level 6 qualification
