Strategic Category Manager| Hybrid | Barnsley | £40,000-£48,000 per annum | Permanent

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a public sector organisation, to recruit a Strategic Category Manager.

This organisation operates a hybrid working policy, requiring in office presence twice per week in the Barnsley based office.

Role:

Act as the expert for the procurement of the nominated categories in line with Council's Contract Procedure Rules
To lead on high value risk and complex procurements
Lead and develop the delivery of procurement category strategies and programmes of work, undertaking data analysis
Maintain effective working relationships with service areas and provide guidance to senior managers
Actively involved within contract management

Individual:

Great communication skills, track record of efficient stakeholder management
Extensive experience navigating public sector frameworks, compiling contracts, running procurement processes
Computer literate
Needs to have achieved a minimium of a Level 6 qualification
