We are recruiting a full-time Accounts Administrator Trainee who has the mindset, skills and experience to help the business achieve this goal and looking to establish a career in a growing business.


The Role
An exciting opportunity to join this small but busy accounts department based at Scunthorpe.


You will be responsible for performing a variety of routine day-to-day accounting duties as directed by the Finance Manager in accordance with Company procedures and Group policies, and working alongside other accounts administrators across 2 companies.


Day to day responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate completion and balancing of the purchase ledger for the company, which involves collating, coding, matching and posting purchase invoices, processing supplier and stock invoices, and reconciling the supplier statement.
  • Production of sales invoices, both for the UK and overseas
  • Answering the phone and resolving queries
  • General accountancy duties within the finance team & associated admin.

Training Provided


An accounts administrator trainee is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within a business.

The accounts administrator trainee is responsible for assisting the team of accountants with simple accounting duties.

Further AAT training is available through the accountancy training provider Kaplan.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Good A levels (with strong maths grade)
  • Level 2 AAT or above is desirable but not essential
  • Some accounts experience would be desirable

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£4.81-£9.50 per hour
