**Production Assistant

  • Penarth Street**JGD is looking for a Production Assistant to produce and refurbish bespoke work at our Penarth site. They will join an established team and enjoy the uniqueness that each day brings working in a friendly and fun environment.

Typical Tasks:

  • Paint metalwork frames so that they can be dressed
  • Create decorations by attaching lights and decorative items to prefabricated steel frames and other structures
  • Package decorations so that they can be delivered to site safely without being damaged
  • Carry out basic workshop tasks under the supervision of the site manger
  • Handle stock and decorations safely from storage to production spaces
  • Support the Operations dept. with the loading/unloading of Trucks & Vans when required
  • Key Skills & Responsibilities:
  • Complete work to schedule, in line with specified targets and the production budget
  • Maintain levels of concentration and quality control in both repetitive and complicated tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately (both verbal and written)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Organise your materials and working space to be efficient
  • Maintain a tidy working area

Must Have's:

  • Punctual throughout the day
  • You are a positive team member, take personal responsibility and pride in your work
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Willingness to follow H&S procedures and rules
  • Physically fit enough for lifting and manual work
  • Full driving license

Desirable's:

  • Manufacturing or Contruction work experience
  • Experience working with hand and power tools
  • Creative fabrication or production
  • Event experience

Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
