Role description:

In Engineering, you'll create some of the world's most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together.

You will be expected to take responsibility for model delivery, reviewing and coordinating and ensuring that company and project standards are maintained on all deliverables, along with being the technical hub in the digital process.

You will have experience with digital processes and be capable of sharing and coordinating a variety of disciplines within the digital environment.

You will have preferably progressed through the role of Modeller and can adopt the role of Coordinator or Modeller to suit project requirements and resources, i.e.

this is a practitioner role

Role accountabilities:

Ensure the production of coordinated project models that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project
Successfully manage, plan, resource and complete assigned digital modelling work within agreed budget and deadlines
Build an understanding of the coordination of all elements of a project and how it ultimately interfaces with the client
Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution
Ensure the production of project digital deliverables including models that are accurate, clear and concise, compliant with Arcadis standards, best practice and any other standards dictated by the nature of the project
Operate at a level consistent with Eng. Tech status
Assist with the coaching and development and the development of capabilities of other digital practitioners
Support the coordination of interfaces of technical work including models and drawings with other disciplines
Keep up to date with developments in the industry sector and with technical and legislative developments and seek out opportunities to develop a strong professional profile
Ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan
Make proposals for any design adjustments to be made, and discuss and consult with the relevant members of the team
Monitor the implementation of possible adjustments in aspect models Liaise with the project team, client and consultants to review all digital models for the project, and make any necessary amendments

Qualifications & Experience:

Have Engineering Technician status or equivalent through a recognised professional institution
Substantial (production) experience in design, drafting or engineering and digital
Prepare design risk assessment to accompany hazard identification during design development
Are experienced in use of project Design Decision Logs and Project Assumptions registers to record and agree key project decisions
Experience of digital processes and coordinating a variety of disciplines with the digital environment
