    Description

    Role description:

    • We are looking for a Commercial Manager/Cost Consultant with strong Commercial awareness to join our UK Water teams.
    • As a Cost Consultant, you will be part of the Cost & Commercial Management team, working on a variety of projects from global and high profile to small and impactful ones, ensuring timely and budgeted delivery.
    • Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting, and cost management will drive growth and efficiency.

    This position belongs to our Resilience Global Business Area, where we strive to safeguard natural environments and water resources while fueling our world for future generations in the face of challenges like climate change, urbanization, and biodiversity loss.


    Please note that occasional travel to the East Sussex area may be required due to client needs.


    Role accountabilities:

    • Supporting the NEC Project Manager in post-contract administration of NEC contracts, including assessing contractual changes and payments.
    • Providing commercial guidance through all project stages to minimize cost and scope changes.
    • Offering contract advice and support, along with procurement assistance.
    • Managing final accounts closure for projects of varying values.
    • Participating in risk and value management meetings as needed.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Detailed technical expertise in construction processes, cost, and commercial management within a consultancy environment.
    • Good experience with NEC Contracts and infrastructure projects.
    • Ability to support internal teams actively and oversee junior staff on projects ranging from £100k to £15m.
    • Demonstrated self-management, prioritization skills, and working well under pressure.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for influencing stakeholders.
    • Pre and Post Contract experience with project completion capability.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
