Description
We are currently recruiting x2 Playworkers to join our excellent adventure playground team at Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground.

Our playgrounds offer open access play activities that allow children to fully engage in the joys of their childhood. We provide exciting and stimulating spaces where children can explore and play in ways they often can't elsewhere.


Responsibilities:


  • Deliver open access play activities for children and young people aged 6 to 1
  • Create interesting and engaging play environments.
  • Implement the Playwork Principles and adhere to the principles behind adventure playwork.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children attending the playground.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, delivering activities all year round.

Hours of Work:


  • School Holidays: Monday to Friday, 9:45 am to 5:15 pm
  • Term Time: Tuesday to Friday, 3:15 pm to 7:45 pm Saturdays: 10:45 am to 4:15 pm

Requirements:


  • Minimum Level 2 recognized play qualification.
  • Proven experience in delivering open access play activities for children and young people aged 6 to 15, preferably in an adventure playground setting.
  • Familiarity with the Playwork Principles and understanding of the different play types.
  • A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3-6 months

Part-time hours: 22.5 per week


Salary:
£14.42 per hour
