    The Productivity Institute (TPI) at the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate undertake an economic and business landscape analysis on the impact of the rise in Artificial Intelligence on productivity, business models and regulatory frameworks.

    The position is based at The Productivity Institute's headquarters at the Alliance Manchester Business School, and supports the Institute's participation in the UKRI-funded Responsible AI (RAI) project, titled Responsible & Trustworthy Economic Landscape analysis (April 2024-March This project is run from the University of Cambridge, involving amongst other Professors Diane Coyle and Adrian Weller, and King's College London.

    The position is also meant to contribute to the development of a joint research programme on AI, Digital Transformation and Productivity at the Alliance Manchester Business School between various centres and institutes at AMBS involved with digital and AI-related research, including The Productivity Institute , the Decision and Cognitive Sciences Research Centre , the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research , and the Digital Transformation Research Group .

    The PDRA will report to The Productivity Institute Managing Director, Professor Bart van Ark, and will be accountable to an Academic Advisory Group consisting of Professors Nadia Papamichail and Richard Allmendinger ( Decision and Cognitive Sciences Research Centre ), Panos Constantinides ( Digital Transformation Research Group ), Philip Shapira ( Manchester Institute of Innovation Research ), Nikolay Mehandjiev ( Data Visualisation Observatory ) and Markos Zachariadis ( Centre for Financial Technology (FinTech) Studies ).
