Manchester Staff is pleased to be looking for a Procurement Officer for their well-established client, based at their head office in Manchester. They are a thriving organisation and are looking to add strength and depth to their Procurement Team. The role is 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.


The role:


  • Be accountable for maintaining stock across the fulfilment centres, in line with market trends and customer needs.
  • Be proactive in building relationships with Suppliers, Customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Be accountable for a continuous programme of stock inventory optimisation.
  • Work in conjunction with the sales & marketing teams for continuity of customised stock holding in line with customer agreements.
  • To have consideration of supply arrangements and management of supplier performance.
  • Support the delivery of margin enhancement strategies and the introduction of new products.
  • Lead the delivery of key priorities & performance measures against our 3 Year business plan.
  • Consistently sync across all disciplines to positively influence and support decisions made.
  • Propose your own ideas to improve the business we want to learn from you and your experiences.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing your own knowledge and abilities.
  • Have a full understanding of the supply chain & procurement function.

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally 2+ years in procurement.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Have a good understanding of supplier management processes.
  • You should understand supplier forecasting and costing models.
  • Can quickly learn new things.
  • You will need to be IT literate with advanced Excel skills.
