SUPPORTING YOUNG CHILDREN:
AFTER SCHOOL & WEEKENDS

Supporting young children after school. Hours are around 4/5pm to 9/10pm majority of weekdays and/or weekends.


Lovely young children who would have either suffered neglect or have a minor learning disability with after school and weekend activities - a range of sports, going to park, general playing in the home, a range of outdoor activities etc.


  • Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Support children in participating in community activities and social outings
  • Promote independence and selfadvocacy skills
  • Document and report any changes or concerns regarding the individual's wellbeing

Experience:


  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
  • Knowledge of personcentered approaches and support strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with individuals and their families
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
