- We are seeking an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our neurophysiotherapy rotation at Epsom General Hospital. The role involves rotating across various clinical areas including inpatient care on our acute stroke unit, in-patient rehabilitation unit, and community rehabilitation services such as Stroke Supported Discharge and community neuro-rehabilitation services. This is a great opportunity to enhance your clinical skills in neurology and complex conditions within a supportive team environment.
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is actively promoted both internally and through externally funded courses. Senior physiotherapy clinicians provide supervision to support learning outcomes within each speciality. In addition, there are in-service training sessions, joint therapy seminars, team meetings, and opportunities for service development.
- All acute physiotherapy staff are required to participate in respiratory on-call evening and weekend rotas.
- Assess and treat a specialist caseload of neurological patients autonomously.
- Supervise less experienced physiotherapists and students in the speciality.
- Receive guidance from Band 7/Therapies Clinical Manager/Clinical Specialist regularly.
- Manage patients from admission to discharge, including providing telephone advice.
- Manage patients' neurophysiotherapy needs in the community.
- Work collaboratively as part of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) in acute and community settings.
- Participate in the respiratory on-call rota at Epsom General Hospital.
