Primary Role Purpose


Through collaboration and engagement with Department Heads and other key stakeholders, the Registry officer will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordinate projects within Registry department to ensure efficiency of administrative procedures in Student-related systems, management of registration and computerized records of all students, and student information provisions.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


Operational

  • Acting as the main point of contact within the academic environment for students who need guidance and support.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all the students regarding any communication related to placements and the related skills.
  • Representing the institution through participation in appropriate and training sessions
  • Management and development of registration and VLE records for all students
  • Support the management with an endtoend overview of the student.
  • Student lifecycle, from enrolment to graduation. Act as point of contact with academic staff in pursuit of accurate data management.
  • Update information on mitigating circumstances, Unfair Practice and other related admin processes. Attend relevant meetings and committees where necessary as a representative.
  • Building and developing positive working relationships with students their supervisors/student support officers.
  • Support with compliance in the provision of accurate data for external compliances Ofsted, HESA, Validators.
  • Act as point of contact for specialist advice for staff and student queries on any student data.
  • Monitoring and coordinating the submission by students and academic staff.
  • Liaising with program Leaders and academic staff to support students with academic related concerns.

Safeguarding

  • Complete all safeguarding training as required.
  • Always provide and assure a safe environment for learners.
  • Follow procedures and practices which minimise risks to all learners.
  • Recognise and react responsibly to apparent and potential instances of abuse or neglect.
  • Report cases (or suspected cases) of abuse or potential for harm

Human Resources

  • Provide mentoring and training to relevant new staff members as required
  • Communicate effectively with other team members by sharing information concerning needs of the organisation and required participation via internal communication channels.
  • Undergo performance appraisals.

Desirable Experience:


  • Experience in the Higher Education sector.
  • Master in data management.
  • Computer literacy with sound knowledge of Microsoft office software.

Essential Experience:


  • 24 years experience of administration experience
  • Willingness to embrace opportunities for professional development where appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and present data.

Salary:
£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
