We are seeking a resilient and empathetic Behavior Mentor to join our dynamic team.

As a Behavior Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting both primary and secondary aged students with diverse needs, including Autism, ADHD, and challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support and guidance to students, helping them manage their emotions and develop effective coping strategies.
Implement proactive behavior management techniques to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Foster trusting relationships with students, offering encouragement and assistance to promote their social and emotional wellbeing.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop personalised support plans for students, addressing their specific needs and goals.
Respond to challenging situations with patience and empathy, utilising deescalation strategies and conflict resolution techniques.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the relevant stakeholders to ensure continuous support and improvement.
Facilitate group activities and discussions aimed at promoting social skills, selfawareness, and emotional regulation.
Model positive behavior and encourage students to communicate effectively and collaborate with their peers.
Create a sense of belonging and acceptance within the school community, celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion.
Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and colleagues, sharing insights and updates to ensure coordinated support for each student.
Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to access additional resources and support for students as needed.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavior management and child development.
