SAFEGUARDING OFFICER (Ref:
C267/0223)


Part time: 25/45 hours per week (term time only)

Scale SO2; SCP 26-28, £30,984 - £32,798

Pro rata salary for 25/45 hours term time: £17,213 - £18,221
The Safeguarding Officer will take lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the College. You will lead the operational work to keep children safe and will contribute to the safeguarding strategy.

The Safeguarding Officer will take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings, and contribute to the assessment of children. You will communicate with parents, staff and relevant external agencies


You will advise and support other members of staff on child wellbeing, safeguarding and child protection matters, and liaise with relevant agencies such as the Local Authority and Police.

You will also oversee the College's Early Help Offer.


The Safeguarding Officer will retain ultimate operational responsibility for safeguarding and child protection, although the SLT member with responsibility for Wellbeing will hold the title DSL.
