Beechdean Manufacturing Ltd. is a family run, manufacturer of ice cream in the heart of Cheshire.

Through continuous improvement it has built itself from modest beginnings in to a high quality, market leader within the UK and beyond.

Due to succession planning and development we are now looking for two energetic and self motivated individuals, whom are able to work on their own initiative and as part of the wider business team, with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in order to get the job done.

It would also be an advantage to be a good problem solver.

This position will be based in the Production areas as part of the Quality team, working one week Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm / Monday 8:00am - 4:30pm Tuesday - Friday 8:00am 4:30pm rotating.

Key areas of Accountability

Routine Calibrations of probes, scales and other equipment as required against schedule
Temperature Checks
GMP Audits to schedule
Fabrication Audits to schedule
Pest Control to schedule supporting 3rd party
Lab Testing Collections including: swabs, product, water, raw materials etc
Volumetric Checks
Packaging Checks
Live Traceability Checks
Hold notice liaison with both the production and technical teams
Alcohol Reclaim Paperwork
Product Quality against specification including: colour, taste, inclusions (wash out tests) etc
Metal Detection Checks
Support the business in any additional relevant tasks

QA Skills and Experience - Desirable

Experience working within a food manufacturer, ideally ice cream/chilled
Accuracy, attention to detail and numerate approach to provide data on time in the right format.
Time management, be able to work on own initiative both solo and as a team.
Confident, articulate and courteous communicator over the phone, facetoface and in writing.
Highly flexible, competent and adaptable and takes responsibility for own improvement.
Undertakes tasks with enthusiasm and always takes pride in his/her work. Communicates effectively at all levels, considers others' opinions and always treats others with respect.

Internal Audit Training
Food Hygiene (Basic) Training
