An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented cricket coach, with a specialism in batting, to join us as our Disability Cricket Pathway Coash and help us develop the next generation of Lancashire cricketers.

As the Disability Cricket Pathway Coach you will lead on the Lancashire D40 Squad, who are competing in the ECB National Competition, as well as taking an opportunity to coach across the wider disability community.

The role will include attendance, planning and delivery of training sessions through the winter followed by supporting the summer match play at all games.

The vision for Lancashire Cricket is to become the best place to enjoy cricket in the world.

A key pillar of Lancashire Cricket's strategy is to build strong elite Teams (Men's and Women's) that can win tournaments, with a minimum of seven players being developed from the local pathway.

This position will therefore play an integral role in working towards these objectives.

Given the nature of the role, evening and weekend working will be required and you may also be required to travel with the squad for matches and overseas training.

We're ideally looking for somebody who has a minimum ECB Level 2 Cricket Coaching qualification or international equivalent and a desire to embrace the latest coaching techniques.

This is an exciting opportunity that will see you working in a club with an enviable history and heritage that has been a first-class county since 1864 and has the world class international venue of Emirates Old Trafford as its centre of excellence and performance hub.

You will also be working across an extremely large and diverse area as Lancashire Cricket covers all elite and recreational cricket across the North-West from North Wales up to Scotland.


The Role and Responsibilities
The role of Disability Cricket Pathway Coach will be an integral role in the coaching team and will include:

  • Taking lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of coaching sessions.
  • Providing individual and group support to all D40 players in order to assist their development.
  • Providing coaching assistance at Super 1s Hubs (evenings) as part of Talent Identification.
  • Providing coaching support for all impairment groups based on need and availability.
  • Administer the squad in terms of fixtures, umpire appointments, and result submission amongst other agreed duties.

Requirements:


  • ECB Level 2 Cricket Coaching Qualification.
  • Attended Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding Young Cricketers workshops in the last 3 years.
  • Minimum UKCC3 coaching qualification (although Level 4 would be desirable) or international equivalent
  • ECB Coaches Association membership
  • Enhanced DBS Check/Certificate
