The Opportunity

We are excited to be looking for a Conference and Events Executive to join the Commercial team at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket.

You'll be responsible for providing support to the Hospitality and Sales departments for all appropriate booking enquiries.

Your main focus will be customer service, both internally and externally, ensuring all customers and clients receive accurate information at the first time of asking., ensuring we are providing the best possible service to any prospective customers.

It is recognised as one of the UK's most prestigious venues for sport, business, leisure and entertainment with a capacity of up to 50,000 people for concerts; 26,000 for international cricket matches; meetings and events spaces for up to 2,000 delegates; a four-star hotel with 150 rooms; and an on-site Caffè Nero.

Key Responsibilities

To support our ambitions to achieve continued growth in conference and events business we are looking for an experienced Events Executive to join our team.

As a Conference & Events Executive you will be responsible for:


  • Promoting the facilities
  • Producing proposals
  • Identifying opportunities for upselling and cross selling
  • Conducting client showrounds
  • Converting business and producing contracts
  • Account management of clients with a focus on developing strong relationships, generating repeat business and developing new business leads
  • Meeting and greeting clients on the day of their event, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring that outstanding customer service is delivered at all times
  • Supporting the Business Development team with entertaining and attendance at networking events, exhibitions, open days and FAM Trips as and when required

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrate a strong experience of performance in a scheduling/planning environment.
  • Ideally have experience within the conference, events, meetings or exhibitions industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organisation skills and capable of working towards multiple deadlines.
  • Proactive approach, with a cando attitude.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, as some evening and weekend work may be required.
